Shao & Brian, I was born in Guangzhou too! Great, I have 2 other buddies. I love this ‘trip’ of yours. So beautifully depicted, thnx for sharing. I have to come back more often to check on your ‘trips’. Um, goose, fatty but so tasty. Your whole family of guys can cook, amazing, you’re so lucky.

Hi, I really like your site. I got the link from Rasa Malaysia. My wife is from Guangzhou and my family is from Toisan. My family has been here in the States for a long time but my in-laws are still ther. We go back every other year or so. Love the food there. Keep up the good work!!

Oh thank you for the tip, dreadfully we usually end traveling close to summertime where it’s always hot and muggy on that side of the world. Vietnam and Thailand are just ridiculously hot.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the post! If you have the time, you should definitely visit China. Just try to avoid going there during the summer time. It’s insanely hot and humid there that time of the year.

This is so cool, I have never been to China, my mothers side is from mainland China of Chiu Chow ancestry but emigrated to Vietnam to escape Commie oppression. Anyhow, we practice some of the same customs such rinsing the utensils, tea cups and we too only use the bowl to eat. Thanks for sharing, this is awesome.
