Japanese sweet potato can be found in most Asian supermarkets. Its skin is red and have a white flesh inside. This is not the same as the other Japanese sweet potato you might have heard about with the purple flesh inside that’s popular in Okinawa and Hawaii. Satsumaimo are great for tempura and even more delicious simply just grilled.
